The COVID-19 pandemic has indeed made the world turn upside down, yet the upside is the hands and hearts of several people are unitedly fighting this crisis.
People we know have lost their jobs, lost their kin, or are struggling to give or take help amidst all the chaos that has been brewing.
With the second wave taking and threatening many more lives, on the ground in India, we are witnessing a lot more sorrowful stories around us.
As their stories tug at our heartstrings, we have built a network of close to 1000 people, where we are extending online and offline support (as calls, tweets, and messages are being sent in a flurry) to make things easier for those who are out on the roads, seeking beds, cylinders, injection, and so on.
Amidst all the anxiety, disappointment, and shortage, we have a glimmer of hope: that together we can make it count. We partnered with two impact organisations here, who have helped in creating much-needed relief during this trying time.
- Abhaya Foundation - Standing by the motto of alleviation of suffering, it caters to Healthcare, Education, Awareness Creation, Rural Development and Transformation.
- United Care Development Services - a Philanthropy Exchange organisation that focuses on Healthcare, Education and Environment, via contributions in time, finances, kind and waste.
