Mugunthan Siva, Founder - India Avenue Investments
'Mugunthan is responsible for the management and performance of ANZ Global Wealth & Private Banking’s institutional and retail portfolios in Australia. Mugunthan’s role involves portfolio construction and manager configuration for single asset and multi asset class portfolios with a view to meeting portfolio objectives, within the specified risk parameters.
Prior to joining ANZ, Mugunthan, as Head of Manager Research for INGIM, was responsible for manager research as well as having specific responsibility for management of ING Investment Management’s multi- manager Global Equities and Alternatives portfolios. Mugunthan joined INGIM in 2003 as Portfolio Manager of the International Shares component of the multi- manager portfolios. In 2005, Mugunthan took on the role of CIO, Multi-Manager operations for INGIM in India, creating a range of investment solutions in this developing market before returning to INGIM’s Australian office in April 2008 as the Investment Strategist and Senior Portfolio Manager within the Multi Strategies Group in INGIM.
Mugunthan began working in Australia in the banking sector back in 1991. In 1993 he joined RetireInvest, one of Australia’s largest financial planning groups. His role involved mutual fund research and portfolio construction within the group’s investment division known then as Le Fort and later renamed OptiMix. In 1999 Mugunthan joined Australia’s largest investment bank, Macquarie Bank as a retail sector stock-broking analyst, before moving to Westpac Bank as a credit analyst.Mugunthan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW and a Masters in Business at UTS, Sydney.
Bhaskar Maddala, Senior Vice President & Regional Director - Polaris
Bhaskar is an accomplished business leader and IT executive who had led large business in global IT services organisations headquartered in India. He had held varied leadership roles across Australia, USA, Europe and India in multiple business verticals and helps organisations with their IT vision and strategy. He has been a guest speaker in several industry conferences on BPM, PCI compliance, Enterprise services and Digital technologies. He is a keen technologist with focus on leveraging technology to drive business growth.
Bhaskar was instrumental in setting up innovation and driven practices and center of excellences such as Business Process Management, B2B, Total Outsourcing solutions etc for global IT majors.Bhaskar is currently Senior Vice President and Regional Director for ANZ region and Pacific Islands for Enterprise Solutions Business unit in Polaris Consulting and Services Ltd. He had held leadership stints in global IT organisations such as NIIT Technologies, HP-MphasiS, Infosys Technologies Australia and Wipro Technologies.
He also worked with Infosys in UK and was responsible for P&L of Telcos in Europe for enterprise services business.Bhaskar holds a MBA, Software Enterprise Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
