FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A joint initiative designed to do better business by promoting impact investing across mid-market firms.

Today UK | USA based Forming Impact and India | Australia based Tat Capital announced the launch of TAT Impact.

TAT Impact is designed to promote the value, worth and importance of impact investing across the mid-market sector by mobilising all plausible stakeholders [deal makers and investors] through unparalleled access to world class data, intelligence, mentorship and accreditati powering the impact investing sector.

“Impact investments are an emerging sustainable investment strategy and represent a small and medium enterprise-led approach to development”, said Ram Gorlamandala, Founding Director of Tat Capital.

“While globally impact investing is gaining traction and showing solid returns – ethically and economically – our research shows that the Asia Pacific market, in particular, is still untapped with 14% of global impact investments allocated across East, South, and Southeast Asia and

5% in Oceania, as against 30% allocated to the US and Canada.

It also serves as an important means of bridging the financing gap to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals within these markets.

Overall, the value of impact investment products available to Australian investors has risen by 249% during 2017-2019 to [USD] $14Bn, anticipated to grow to [USD] $70Bn in next five years.

Obviously, this presents a sound investment option fit for many midmarket firms and clients across ANZ, but for the most part it is, unfortunately, a space currently ignored; which we aim to rectify”, he explains.

While the ultimate intention is to build an impact investment community with access to a platform of new instruments and tools which match and assess investment and sustainable development opportunities; it will commence with a series of free online Masterclasses and panel styled webinars where the audience can engage with leaders in the field from around the world.

The first of these ‘Impact Investing – How do we define it’ will be held on Tuesday 8 September with Munib Madni [Founder, Panvestor and Panarchy Partners], Simon McKenzie [MD, Bridge | Director, Bridge Institute], Zameen Pavri [Senior Impact Investor] and Fiona Macintyre [Founder,  Forming Impact]

“We have joined with Tat Capital to form TAT Impact because there is a need for collaboration now more than ever. Commercial success and impact are not only aligned but are the ultimate form of sustainable impact for all sectors” explains Fiona Macintyre, Founder and Managing Director of Forming Impact.
